Van Wert Civic Theater Performances

The Van Wert Civic Theatre (VWCT) has been organizing local live theatre for 60 years, with seasons full of variety every year. The first VWCT shows of 2019 will begin Jan. 17, with performances of Cahoots, a two-act comedy that's set in a Manhattan high rise. Performances run Jan.17-20 and Jan. 24-27. In March, VWCT will perform The Sunshine Boys, the comedic play that was later adapted for film and television. Catch VWCT's production of The Sunshine Boys on March 7-10 and March 14-17.

David Doubilet And Jennifer Hayes: Coral Kingdoms And Empires Of Ice

If you're the type to look through the gorgeous photos in National Geographic, you won't want to miss this incredible event coming to the Niswonger Performing Arts Center. Photographer David Doubilet is one of the greatest living photographers for National Geographic, specializing in underwater photographs. His wife Jennifer Hayes is an aquatic biologist and a published photojournalist. Together, they will present their most recent National Geographic assignments which depict life in Antarctica. Tickets are $20-$35. 

Jefferson Starship
Paul Kantner, one of Jefferson Airplane's founding members, started Jefferson Starship. Since then, the group has released 20 hit singles and sold out countless concerts all over the world. This February, they're coming through Van Wert, and bringing the spirit of rock and iconic tracks like "White Rabbit" with them. Jefferson Starship plays Niswonger Performing Arts Center on Feb. 2. Tickets are $25-$45. 

Young Artists Recital
On Feb. 17, community members can join together to celebrate and support some of Van Wert's thriving young artists. Sponsored by the Van Wert County Foundation, the Young Artists Recital event spotlights hard-working students from Van Wert County high schools.
